Slow sales and the upcoming Z06 has gotten the Dodge team to drop the Viper's price in line with the originals when adjusted for inflation.

But all I'm thinking about is now there is room at the top of the range for a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! version.

Seems like a much better short term plan that can build into a long term plan with the reintroduction of an ACR version at the top as well as roadster/ smaller engine variants to fill out the range if they need/want to.

2015 update is coming soon …. I really hope because the hellcats twins are showed as 2014 in this graph even though they are 2015's, that the 2015 Viper refresh is still yet to come.

They've gotta be stuffing that ZF 8spd in there, hopefully with a supercharger too.

Agreed. Copperhead sounds way cooler anyways. But expect them to share styling and advertising. Possibly other components too.

The current Viper? Yea the Z06 will probably be faster. But IMO it would be silly to think a new ACR isn't coming at some point, and we all know how fast the old one was.

I'll give you the ACR. That car was stupidly fast and that's expected from an almost full track car. But look at what sales of the base C7 did to the viper. Now imagine what the Z06 is gonna do. A car better in almost every imaginable way for almost half the price. I fear the viper is gonna have a really really really tough time

The Viper has never been a big seller and IMO it shouldn't be. The 'Vette is already ruined for me by how damn many of them I see around. Also this is very arguable - "A car better in almost every imaginable way for almost half the price." Mainly 645hp vs 460hp.

But I think the Viper just needs something again to spark interest.

See that's the problem. It needs to be a big seller. Viper has almost gone out of production twice in the last year. I understand its a halo car but if nobody Is buying it, then the bean counters step in and make a business case for its termination and nobody wants to see the viper gone. But if they get totally owned by the Z06, then the viper will be the next Saab and I'm sorry to say it. Oh the hellcat isn't helping matters either
